"Smoothie" Drinks

The other morning I made a most delicious smoothie for my breakfast. My daughter thought it looked interesting and asked for some too. I think she enjoyed it as much as I did!

Apple-Banana Smoothie
In a blender add the following:

  • 1 cup milk (any variety or rice or soy or goat)
  • 1 banana cut into pieces
  • 1/3 container of frozen apple juice concentrate
  • 1 tsp sugar
Blend these ingredients. While blending, add ice cubes one at a time until smoothie is sufficiently thick: 6-8 ice cubes.
Makes two servings.

Another night we made Orange Julius for our pre-bed treat. This recipe came from Paul Mayne and is absolutely delicious! His recipe makes three large or four regular sized servings.

With the warm weather approaching, it's time to stock the freezer with ice cubes and keep plenty of bananas on hand! Enjoy your smoothies.
